My Experienced at “HAVAN”

My Experienced at “HAVAN”

DATE: 17/07/2012
THURSDAY
PLACE: PALITANA

Today I went to Palitana to attend our traditional ceremony. It was HAVAN. I experienced some unbelievable experiences during the ritual.. Here I want to share  glimpses of the event.

I saw, there were many people who were wearing Traditional dresses. Some of them were sitting in front of “HAVAN KUND”. The Punditji was chanting some mantras like “Om Mahakali Vicche Namah” etc….. , this kind of other mantras were also chanted  by them. After mantras, YAJAMAN (the Hosts) were pouring ghee, Sesame seed and other items in the flames of HAVANKUND. Things seems to be going normal.

Suddenly, I was surprised I saw one female getting off the  Luxurious car. People rushed anxiously to receive her; they were touching her feet and taking blessings from her. I heard murmurs from the hordes of people -  “MATAJI AVYA” (Goddess has arrived). Everyone touched her feet With hesitation I  followed them like a lamb, to touch her feet. Now,
she set on chair and people came to solve their problems. They came to solve their difficulties.
My uncle went to her sand said: “Some burglars have stolen jewellery and all cash from our home, how  can I get them back?” then she replied:” Don’t worry! All will come back. I’ll not speak name of the thief. Even if I inform you, you cannot do anything to him. Work hard, and you will get good business and you can buy it all again.”

We can think that  her answers were so simple. It was based on logical reasoning.. If someone ask me this question, I’ll reply almost similar to hers. If she could find thief and point that this is the thief, and then I can believe on her, otherwise I am not ready to accept this kind of superstition.

OK, I just want to tell that be faithful, but don’t be blind followers. First think on the matter and then come to any kind of decision weather is it possible or not? I also believe in God. There is something in the world which operates our all activities, but I don’t believe in this kind of rituals.

I just want to say be honest and do your work with honesty. So, there will be no need to bow to anyone.

Believe in hard work, not in Superstition.
